Alma Lee Miller Thomas 93 of Cassville, passed away January 8, 2022 at her home with her eldest daughter and granddaughter by her side. She was born March 25, 1928 in Renick, WV a daughter of the late Benjamin Claude and Erma Reed Miller. Alma was preceded in death by her husband Leo R Thomas, Sr of 67-years, one son-in-law, Jerry E. Spence, One brother Charles M. Miller, Four Sisters, Anna May Castle, Catherine Joyce Highbaugh, Ida Jane Reese, and two infant siblings. Alma attended University High and as a young woman worked at Morgantown Shirt Factory. Later in life she ran her own upholstery business with her daughter Leora. She was a homemaker, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Alma also loved to embroidery, crochet and quilt. She is survived by four children: Leora J. Spence of Cassville, Bonnie (Mark) McDonald of Morgantown, Leo (Shirley) R. Thomas, of Brookhaven, Virginia (Ralph) Correll of Morgantown. Four Grandchildren Debra (John) Buchanan, Richard L. Thomas, Melissa (Chase) Hixson, and Michael J. Correll. Three great grandchildren Athena (Steven) Yerkovich, Morrigan and Otto Hixson One great great granddaughter Arya R. Yerkovich and Two step-great great grandsons Tyler and Haidyn Yerkovich.
