Obituary of Brian Robert Shultz

Brian Robert Shultz, 37, of Morgantown, passed away at Mon Health Medical Center on Sunday, October 3, 2021. Brian was born in Charleston, WV on March 18, 1984 to Rob and Karen Dietrich Shultz.
Brian worked as a job coach at Pace Enterprises and appreciated the time working with all of his clients. Brian attended Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church, where he also worked at Covenant Christian School, and enjoyed his role as “Mr. Brian” to all of the children. He was a sports fanatic, following WVU and Penn State. He loved playing basketball, watching movies, and laughing with others. He always found time to be a good older brother and friend to a lot of people. Brian was a gentle giant who was loved by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by his sister: Allison Shultz of Kingwood; brother: Andy Shultz (Brittany) of Reedsville; his nephews, who he adored, Carter and Greyson Shultz; maternal grandparents: Blair and Dorothy Dietrich of Lykens, PA; and uncles: John Shultz (Karen), Jeff Shultz (Jo Ann), and Karl Dietrich (Robin), all of Lykens, PA.
Brian was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: John and LeeAnn Shultz.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Brian’s memory to Covenant Christian School at 802 Greenbag Road Morgantown, WV 26508.
Friends are invited to gather at Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church, 802 Greenbag Road, Morgantown, on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 9 -11 am. A memorial service at 11 am with Pastors Nathan Williamson and Sean Wightman officiating. Following the service, a dinner will be held at Covenant EMC. McCulla Funeral Home provided cremation services, and online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com.
