James Michael “Lumberjack” Barnett Jr, 61, of Rivesville passed away at UPMC Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA on July 14, 2021. James was born in Staten Island, NY on August 29, 1959 to James C. Barnett and Norma J. Savage Barnett. James had an independent spirit, and spent his life making his own way working for himself. James recently had worked side by side with his brothers at Barnett Excavating and will be sorely missed. James had previously been a realtor, and delivered furniture for Big Lots for many years. James enjoyed working with dump trucks and other heavy equipment. In addition to his parents, James is survived by his sister: Debra Shane (Roger); brothers: Barry Barnett (Kimberly), Randy Barnett (Tammy), Steve Barnett (Kim), and Jason Barnett; girlfriend: Sharon Burns; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends who will all miss him. Friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Rd., on Friday, July 16th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and again on Saturday from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah Cemetery. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
