Darrell Gene Spitznogle Sr. age 72 of Morgantown passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021. He was born August 14, 1948 in Waynesburg, PA a son of the late Donald Spitznogle and Phoebe Burns Spitznogle. Darrell had worked as a heavy equipment operator in the construction business. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and enjoying a cold beer. Darrell is survived by his wife, Judith Knisell Spitznogle, sons Gene Spitznogle Jr., James (Tammy) Spitznogle, Daniel (April) Spitznogle, and Christopher (Tina) Spitznogle; brother, Donald (Joanne) Spitznogle; sister-in-law Kathy Spitznogle; brother-in-law Mitch Stone; grandchildren, Jimmy (Angelina) Spitznogle, Christina (Morgan) Sanders, Kandyce Spitznogle, Brandon Sole, Jamie Spitznogle, Tyler Forsythe, Brittney Spitznogle, Trevor Spitznogle, his canine companion Muttley, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Darrell was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Stone, and one brother, Richard Spitznogle. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
