Martha June Ammons, 82, of Maidsville passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on June 25, 2015. Martha was born in Morgantown on April 2, 1933 to the late Cole Brewer and Lillian Sutton Brewer. Martha worked for many years at the kitchen at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She attended Kingdom EMC and enjoyed singing, gardening, sitting on her porch watching the birds and squirrels. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Those Martha leaves behind to cherish her memory include: her husband of 66 years, Joseph Ammons, Jr., her daughters Rebecca Maust of Morgantown and Joyce Gibson and her husband Robert of Morgantown; sons Gary Ammons and his wife Lisa, Danny Ammons and his wife Lynn, Kenny Ammons, and James Ammons and his wife Theresa all of Morgantown; one brother Kenneth Brewer of Lewisburg, WV; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Martha preceded in death by her sister Katherine Frances and her brother Joe Brewer. Friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home on Saturday, June 27th from 7-9 pm and on Sunday from 1 until the 2 pm funeral service with Pastor Kevin Cain officiating.
