Obituary of Lucille F. Patterson
Please share a memory of Lucille to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Sunday, January 24, 2021, Lucille Patterson was called home to be an Angel in the house of the Lord. She was 87 years old and had an Iron Will that kept her going until the very end. She passed away peacefully with family by her side. Lucille was born on December 4, 1933, and was the daughter of the late Charles W. Myers and late mother, Helen Reese Myers, and step-mother Evelyn Myers.
Lucille was a loving Mother and loved her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. She loved gardening and flowers and was always trying to find more flowers to add to her flower garden. She loved Yahns Hotdogs and would always appreciate when someone brought her hot dogs. Lucille and Jennifer would go to yard sales every Saturday, and they were always looking forward to finding treasures. Lucille was a very strong, smart, versatile and caring, and had many challenges raising a large family by herself, since her husband, William had passed. She was an excellent seamstress and was always sewing the girls dresses as children. She was a very creative person making miniature doll furniture, handmade dolls, and other projects. In early days, Dad & Mom and family attended church every Sunday at Johnson Chapel Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was the Rock for our family, always there for everything. She is flying high and will still be looking out after her family.
Lucille is survived by her companion for 34 years, Clarence (Cook) Chisler; her four children, Dean Patterson and wife Suzanne, Kathleen Patterson Kirchmar and companion Tony Garcia, William M. Patterson and wife Kitty, and Jennifer L. Golden and husband Danny.
She is also survived by grandchildren: Rachel Overfield, Paul Lazzelle, Heather Tyler, Joshua Patterson, Laura Reckart, Billy Patterson, and Cady Golden; and great grandchildren: Gage Reckart, Wyatt Reckart, Ava Reckart, Gabriel Overfield, Zoey Overfield, Jude Overfield Jones, Noel Overfield Jones, Savanna Patterson, Emma Patterson, CJ Tyler, Sara Tyler, Jonathan Tyler, Krislyn Tyler, Conner Lazzelle, Ethan Lazzelle, Eva Lazzelle, James Dylan Patterson, and Kloe Patterson.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Patterson; a daughter, Debra Provost and son-in-law, Lestor Provost; one older sister, Vivian Jackson; and two brothers, Charles W. Myers, Jr., and Blaine H. Myers.
