Gerald Leon Shane, 76, of Westover passed away at his home on Sunday, September 20, 2020. He was born in Morgantown on November 8, 1943 to the late Ira Burl Shane and Nellie Ann Tennant Shane. Gerald served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as an engineer in the construction industry. He is survived by his significant other, Kay Clark; three brothers: David Shane, Don Shane, and Dan Shane. In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his sister: Patricia Shane and his brother: Jim Shane. McCulla Funeral Home has provided cremation services. Friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 10 am until the 11 am memorial service with Pastor Nathaniel Hudson officiating, where full military honors will be conferred by Westover VFW #9916 and WVANG Military Honors, Camp Dawson.
