Glenna “Toots” Darlene Pratt Owens, 93, of Daybrook, WV passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Lora Owens, with her family by her side. She was born in Tunnelton, WV on April 12, 1927 to the late Paris Pratt and Evelyn Fortney Pratt. Toots enjoyed singing and was very talented at sewing; where she took great joy in making all the kids their baby blankets. Her greatest love came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Toots is survived by her daughters: Leslie Darrah and husband Donnie of Fairview and Jeannie Lemley and husband Buddy of Pentress; sons, Douglas Owens and wife Lora of Pentress and Creigon Owens and wife Cindy of Daybrook; grandchildren, Heath Owens and wife Stephanie, Joshua Owens, Lacy Morise and husband Matt, Seth Lemley and wife Chrissy, Lindsey Lucky and husband Brian, Justin Darrah and wife Andrea, Caleb Lemley and wife Stephanie, Jacob Darrah and wife Megan, Sarah Tannenbaum and husband Jared, and Daniel Owens and wife Sherry; great grandchildren, Tyler, Emily, Zach, Lily, Hunter, Olivia, Owen, Ella Kate, Maggie, Josie, Hadley, Weston, Nixon, Liam, Neil, Hudson, Emersyn, Nikola, and Isaac; and brother, Lee Pratt and wife Ruth of Columbiana, OH. In addition to her parents, Toots was escorted into heaven by the smile and familiar whistle of her husband of nearly 71 years, Billy C. Owens; two brothers, Jack Pratt and Peter Pratt; and great grandson, Mason. The family would like to thank Joey Dille and Amedisys Hospice, especially nurse Melissa, for all the care and support they received during this difficult time. Friends may gather at Daybrook Methodist Church on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from 4-7pm. A private family service will take place with burial at Daybrook Cemetery.
