Obituary of Thelma Govedich

Thelma Jean Govedich, age 88, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Thelma was born in Morgantown on January 9, 1932, a daughter of the late Truman and Elvina Domanski Panrell. Thelma was a devoted Christian her entire life. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, but most of all, spending as much time as she could with her family. Thelma is survived by her daughter, Lisa Savage (Monty) of Mt. Morris, PA; grandchildren, Christy Savage, Jessica McHugh (Jason), and Monty Savage, II; and great grandchildren, Mason McHugh, Meah McHugh, Cameron, Ashton, Landon, and Jenson Savage Walker; a sister-in-law, Nancy Wolfe; and family friend, Isabell Lee. In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Mason Govedich; sisters, Leona Zackery and Beulah Drake; and brother, Joseph Panrell. The family wishes to thank Morgantown Hospice, and more specifically Thelma’s nurses, Melissa and JC, for all of the compassion and care shown to their family during Thelma’s time of need. Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 23 from 12 until the 2 pm funeral service with Pastor Daniel Strosnider officiating. Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken.
