Dearest Nancy, I will forever bask in the loving memories we've shared since our childhood days when we lived in Pittsburgh. "May your journey forward be enriched by the magnificent souls who have passed before you, just like you have done here for those you leave behind." No time on earth is long enough to share with those we love or to prepare our hearts for good-bye... Monica Wetzler Howard

As a professor, Nancy placed her students in our child care center. Her students always spoke highly of her. When she visited the center she showed love and care to our children and staff.....she always made us feel special! We will miss her!!

Nancy was such a generous, kind and knowledgeable person who I had the honor of working with for years. She was Always available to help out, even when her illness kept her from feeling 100 percent. That was who she was... We will miss her dearly! We lost an angel and heaven gained one. Prayers for her family ❤️

I will never forget the impact this giving, kind, true, and wonderful soul had on my life and the lives of my children, not to mention the countless lives she touched in her "community" near and far. To Dennis, Miriam, Willie, Donnie, Aubree, Reagan and all those that loved and knew her, may the memories bring you comfort and time bring you peace.

Nancy and I have been friends for 50 years. I have always considered her my best friend, though we have been separated by distance for the last 10. She was always there when I needed her. She took me in with three children when I left my husband, and she played the piano for his funeral when we gathered to remember him. She helped with both of my weddings and the wedding of one of my sons. I will never forget her and will always admire her. My heart goes out to Dennis, Miriam, Willie, and the those who love her.

I worked with Nancy at WVU when they joined our Department. Nancy was a SPECIAL person to me she always had time
to speak with me or the students. Always had a beautiful smile. I remember when my husband had open heart surgery
and she made me some soup to bring home. It was delicious and she was always thinking of others. Nancy will
be missed. May God be with the family at this time. Praying for the family. Sincerely, Ann Crabtree

I met Nancy probably over a year ago.As for many other people she was a rock, kind, genuinely loving and caring women. She started out as my therapist and through many trials and tribulations I considered her to be my friend. I learned of her passing when I texted her to have a happy new year. I was shocked and saddened. Nancy was definitely a angel on earth and now an angel in heaven.May peace be with the family and hope you find comfort in the faith that she had

Nancy was an amazing professor and really helped me out in school. If I wanted to just stop in and talk she was always there and loved to share stories and listen to my stories as well. I only have a year and a half left, but when I graduate I know she will be there, proud, and shaking my hand in heaven.

Nancy was one of the kindest souls I have known. I met her through WVU and she became a good friend. I will miss our chats and discussions around caring for children. She was a wonderful advocate for them. A few years ago, she stopped by my office and delivered a single rose on the anniversary of her child's passing. She told me that it was her way of honoring her child and letting those she cares about that they are important to her. I felt so privileged to be one of those recipients. May she rest in peace and her family find joy in the memories they shared.

Nancy was the kindest and sweetest person there ever was. I am just beyond devastated to hear the news. I just talked with her a few days ago. She helped me through a very dark and difficult time in my life many years ago. She never gave up on me. I have no doubt that she is in the arms of Jesus. I am praying for her friends and family. I pray that God grants them peace that outpaces their pain.

I meant Ms Nancy years ago when my son went to her first happy school she had at Waitman Barba. My son Daniel loved her. She was so pleasant and very good with all the children. Never heard her say a bad thing about anyone or even raise her voice. I’m sure she will be missed by her family and her community. Rest easy Ms. Nancy
