Obituary of Barbara June Davis

Barbara June Davis, age 85, formerly of Westover, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Evergreen Assisted Living.  She was born July 25, 1934 in Westover a daughter of the late Homer Clyde Davis Sr. and Lue Anna Mason Davis.

Barbara had worked as a telephone operator for the C&P Telephone Company and later for the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Tax Office.  Barbara was a longtime member of the Westover United Methodist Church, was a volunteer for the Monongalia General Hospital Auxiliary, and was an avid bowler.

Barbara is survived by nineteen nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Madeline Bates, Betty Lou Wolfe and Virginia Louise Nicholson and three brothers, Harold Davis, Donald Davis, and Homer Davis Jr.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to both Evergreen Assisted Living and Mapleshire Nursing Home for the love and care given to Barbara.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Evergreen Activities Dept., C/O Lori Rankin, 3705 Collins Ferry Rd., Morgantown, WV  26505

Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 2-5 PM Sunday and on Monday from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral service with Rev. Dr. Randall Flanagan officiating.  Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulla.com.
