Obituary of Robert Lee Carpenter

Robert Lee “Turtle” Carpenter Jr., age 67 of Looneyville, WV, formerly of Morgantown passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 at his home.  He was born September 9, 1952 a son of Robert Lee Carpenter Sr. of Tampa, FL and the late Helen Wallow Carpenter.

Robert was raised in the Morgantown-Hildebrand area and was a graduate of Morgantown High school.  He was employed as an electrician at Chemtura and was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church in Looneyville.  Robert enjoyed being outdoors and especially loved hunting and fishing.

In addition to his father, Robert is survived by his wife Lisa Kinison Carpenter, two daughters, Brandy Carpenter of Lincoln, CA and Bobbie Jo Carpenter of Lodi, CA, one step-daughter Amber Faulknier of Masontown, WV, one step-son Kyle Hilling of Hedgesville, sisters, Lois Rothfarb, Sand Bair, and Debbie McClellan, brother, Gary Carpenter, grandchildren, Lacie Huckabee, Fisher Lee Marco, Mallory Marco, Ryland Morse, Maverick Morse, Karmen Faulknier, and Kyah Faulknier, and nephews, Brian Carpenter and Joey Carpenter.

In addition to his mother, Robert was preceded in death by one brother, Doug Carpenter.

Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown from 4-7 pm Thursday and on Friday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service with Pastor John Davis officiating.  Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
