Obituary of Dottie Lou Moore
Dottie Lou Moore, 77, of Daybrook, WV was called to her eternal home on Sunday, May 12, 2019. Dot was born in Daybrook, WV on July 28, 1941 to the late Estle Everett Wilson and Ocie Mae Wilson.
Dot worked for many years in Admissions and Records for the West Virginia University College of Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Dental Hygiene. Although she enjoyed her job and what it provided for her family, her greatest love came from her community in Daybrook where she had resided her entire life. She enjoyed visiting with those she loved, attending the Daybrook Methodist Church when she was able, and once served as a director for the Clay District Fair. She also enjoyed reading, but most of all, she loved just being “home” in Daybrook to host her family when they came home from Kentucky.
Dot leaves behind her daughter: Cindy Lou Donaldson (Paul) , of Walton, KY, step children: Chuck Moore (Trish), Kendall Moore (Michelle), Jason Moore (Kara), and Jo Jo Finch; her grandchildren: Kilee Everette Donaldson, Benjamin Riley Donaldson, and Kelsey Eden Donaldson, nine step-grandchildren; brothers: Darrell Wilson (Kay) and Dean Wilson, both of Daybrook; nephews, Chris, Buckey, and Bart Wilson; a lifelong, dear friend, Judy Eddy, and a host of wonderful and caring neighbors and friends who will dearly miss her.
In addition to her parents, Dot was met at Heaven’s gate by her husband, Wilburt “Jade” Moore, two infant sons, and her former husband and father of her daughter, Mike Reesman.
Family and friends may gather at the Daybrook Methodist Church, 2552 Daybrook Rd., on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 4-8 pm and again on Thursday, from 10 until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Fred Eddy II officiating. Dot will be laid to rest near her infant sons at the Wilson Cemetery. McCulla Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be to the Daybrook Methodist Church, 2552 Daybrook Rd. Fairview, WV 26570, or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
