Obituary of Aloda M. Grove

Aloda Minerva (Michaelson) Grove, 101, of Morgantown, West Virginia passed into the Loving Arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 22, 2019 at Morgantown Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was a member of the Morgantown Christian & Missionary Alliance Church on Patteson Drive.  She was born on May 20, 1917, the daughter of the late Nelson A. and Aloda H. Michaelson, who resided on Rebecca Street in Morgantown.

With special gratitude to Pastor Douglas Miller of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church who was faithful to visit, read scripture, and pray with Aloda during her declining years.  And with special thanks to Aloda’s caregivers and friends at Morgantown Health and Rehabilitation Center who have provided excellent care for Aloda’s needs since she became a resident there in November of 2005.

Family and friends will be received at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown, on Friday, April 26 from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Douglas Miller officiating.  Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Sermon on the Mount section, alongside her parents and beloved sister, Miss Lillian Michaelson.

During her years at Morgantown Health and Rehabilitation Center, Aloda has lost contact with many of her family and friends.  If you know of others who may not have received notice of her passing, please contact them and share their contact information with McCulla Funeral Home.
