Obituary of Haymond Burl Vandergrift

Haymond Burl Vandergrift, 80, of Salisbury, MD, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake, in Salisbury. Burl was born in Laurel Point, on May 28, 1938 to the late Haymond B. Vandergrift and Opal Pauline Newbraugh Vandergrift.

Burl served in the Army National Guard and later worked for UniFirst Corporation as a Supervisor. Burl and his wife, Delouris, moved to Salisbury 53 years ago. Burl attended the Union United Methodist Church in Salisbury, MD and was a member of Wicomico Masonic Lodge #91.

Burl is survived by his wife of 58 years, Delouris Joan Sigley Vandergrift and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Burl was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Glenn Vandergrift.

Friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Friday, April 12^th from 4-8 pm and again on Saturday, April 13^th from 10 until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.
