Obituary of Cara Lynn Freshcorn
Cara Lynn Freshcorn, 55, of Morgantown, a humble servant of the Lord was called home to be with Him. Cara entered this world October 22, 1963 in Louisiana to the late Maxie F. Williams and Carolyn Jenkins Williams. Cara was the definition of a Southern Belle.
Cara was known for her strong faith, gentle smile, and her home cooked meals that were always made with love, especially her biscuits and gravy and cakes. She also enjoyed fall and travelling to the beach, namely Carolina and Myrtle Beach.
Although she spent most of her life in North Carolina, while residing here in Morgantown, she worked at NIOSH as a secretary and attended Avery United Methodist Church and Brookhaven United Methodist Church. She was also very active in Celebrate Recovery, Stephen’s Ministry at Mon Health Medical Center where she read to patients. Her greatest joy of all came from the little girl who called her “Nana”
Cara leaves behind her loving husband of 26 years, Robert “Bob” Freshcorn; two children: Shannon and Tim Freshcorn; one granddaughter: Ashia Freshcorn; her stepmother: Karen Williams; three loving siblings: Marc, Dawn, & Jeff Williams; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Cara was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Cleo & Paul Crawford; paternal grandmother: Mozelle Williams; Uncle Toni Williams and Aunt Judy Dixon.

Friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Monday, April 1st from 4 until the 7 pm funeral service. Following the service, McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation services. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
