Obituary of Barbara Ellen Stone

Barbara Ellen Stone, 59, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2019. Barbara was born in Morgantown on February 18, 1960 to the late Donald Ray Spitznogle and Phoebe Ann Burns Spitznogle.

She was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. Barbara loved scratch off lottery tickets, playing with her dog, and above all spending time with her family and friends, making others happy.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Mitchel “Mitch” Stone of Morgantown; daughters: Heather Ann Stone of Morgantown and Holly Kay Mapel and her husband Ethan of Burton, WV; grandchildren: Liam Mapel, Brinly Mapel, and Little Will Johnson; brothers: Darrell Spitznogle (Judy) of Morgantown and Donald Spitznogle (Joann) of Orlando, FL; sister-in-law Kathy Spitznogle; and Tater, her dog.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother Richard Spitznogle.

Flowers will be accepted or please consider contributions to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

Friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover on Thursday, March 21st from 1-3 & 5-7 pm and again on Friday from 10 until the 11 am funeral service with Bishop William Page officiating. Interment will follow at Olive Cemetery. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
