Obituary of James K. Emery Sr.
James Kyle Emery Sr., 72, of Morgantown passed away at Davis Medical Center in Elkins, WV on January 20, 2019. He was born in Fairview, WV on June 18, 1946 to the late Bill and Virginia Emery.
James served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he worked at WVU in Housing and Residential Life as a custodian. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
James is survived by his daughter Cherie Bowlby of Morgantown; son James K. Emery Jr. of Morgantown; brother: Gary David Emery of Fairmont; a grandchild: Tamara Trahan; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Julia Chase Emery.
McCulla Funeral Home has provided cremation services.
