Obituary of Regina "Cathy" Yost
Regina Catherine “Cathy” Yost, age 79, of Daybrook, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at WVU Medicine surrounded by her loving family. Cathy was born in Chicago, IL on February 16, 1939, a daughter of the late Robert B. Putnam, Sr.
Cathy was a devoted mother and housewife. She loved raising her family and taking time to show each one of them how special they were; from fishing to golf cart rides, she was always up for an adventure.
Aside from her family, she had an extended horse show and motocross family, but her true passion in life was showing horses. She truly lived for the next horse show, to see her kids and grandkids compete and spend time with her dear friends. She was also a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the National Snaffle Bit Association.
Cathy is survived by her daughters, Cheral Skinner of Daybrook and Kami Elliott and husband James of Daybrook; son, Brett Yost and wife Mechelle of Daybrook; grandchildren, Heath and wife Lesly, Braden and fiancé Makayla, Savannah, Pony, Nick, Taylor and husband Brandon, Kennedy and husband Urijah, Alyssa, Keri, and Tate; great grandchildren, Hunter, Cameron, Logan, Thomas, Laurence, Breilynn, Laiklyn, Kason, and Everett; brother, Robert B. Putnam and wife Janet of Fallston, MD; sister-in-law, Doris Yost of Monumental,; special friend, Martha Elliott of Ohio; the Dickerson Family, beloved canine companion, Cubby; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her father, Cathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Lynn Yost; son-in-law, Doug Skinner; brother, Bill Putnam; and many pre-deceased extended in-law family.
Friends may gather at Daybrook Methodist Church, 2552 Daybrook Road, on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 1pm to 4 pm and 5pm to 8pm and on Saturday from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Fred Eddy II officiating.
