Obituary of Billie Mae Taylor
Billie Mae Taylor, 74, of Morgantown passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 31, 1943 in WV, a daughter of the late David Burdette and Annolee Roberts Miller.
Billie worked for her brother, Bob Burdette State Farm Insurance. She was a Methodist by faith.
She is survived by her husband, David “Mike” Taylor; three daughters, Shelia Ann Bennett and husband Greg of Beaufort, SC, Micalyn Newbrough of Morgantown, and Mindy Kay Hunt and husband Brad of Morgantown; a sister, Jane Cox of Parkersburg; two brothers, Robert L. Burdette of Morgantown, and Charles “Chuck” Miller of Parkersburg; and grandchildren, Erica Bolen and spouse Todd, Derek Long, Travis Newbrough, Garrett Croft, and Morgan Bennett; great grandchildren Preslee, Brody, and Kit Bolen; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Miller and Barbara Miller.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of WV Caring, particularly those who helped ease the burden of Billie’s care in her time of need.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Billie’s memory to WV Caring Hospice, 3363 University Ave. Morgantown, WV 26505.
Friends are invited to gather in support of the family at McCulla Funeral Home on Thursday, October 4 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and again on Friday, from 10 until the 11 am funeral service with Chaplain Kathleen Kennedy of WV Caring officiating.
