Obituary of William Delbert Britton

William Delbert Britton, 81, of Morgantown passed away at his home on Friday, August 24, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. William was born in Morgantown on September 16, 1936 to the late Paul William Britton and Ruby Newbraugh Britton.

He served his country in the United States Army. Following his service, William spent most of his working days driving truck. In his spare time he enjoyed working puzzles and spending time with his family and friends. He was also a member of the Morgantown Moose.

William is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Wilburn Britton; son Greg Britton and his fiancée, Angie Baldwin of Morgantown; sister, Betty Jo Morris and her husband Ralph; grandchildren: Tyler Anthony Britton and Harley Frye; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends are invited to gather in support of the family at McCulla Funeral Home on Monday, August 27th  from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and again on Tuesday from 10 until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Mike Myers officiating. Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery with military honors conferred by Westover VFW #9916 and WVANG Military Honors, Camp Dawson.

Flowers will be accepted or a donation may be made to the WV Medicine Children’s Hospital, 1 Medical Center Dr., Morgantown, WV  26506.  Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
