Obituary of Charles Wilson
Charles Wilson, age 83, of Westover passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at Mon Health Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 22, 1934 in Morgantown and was a resident of Westover for over 56 years.
Charles was a business owner operating Wilson Plumbing and Heating serving the Morgantown area for over 40 years. He had been a member of the Westover City Council and an active member of the Moose Lodge where he and his wife enjoyed traveling with the Moose Bowling League, He also served in the Army, serving in Germany.
Charles is survived by his three children, Cheryl Bennett and husband Matt Bennett of Mt. Morris, PA, Dianne Periello of Westover and Charles (Chuck) Wilson and wife Theresa of Westover, one granddaughter, Amie Perriello and Damian Christy of Westover, three grandsons, Andrew Bennett and wife Michelle of Waynesburg, Pa., Michael Bennett and wife Haley of Mt. Morris, PA and Patrick Wilson of Westover, one sister Fern Moody and husband James (Jimmy) Moody of Georgetown, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Animal Friends of North Central WV, PO Box 1090 Dellslow, WV 26531 or the American Cancer Society, 122 South High St., Morgantown, WV 26501.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 3-5 & 7-9 pm Monday and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service with Rev. Kevin Cain officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery with graveside military honors conferred by the Westover VFW Post # 9916 and WVANG military funeral honors of Camp Dawson.
