Obituary of Charles "Butch" Roger Renner

Charles Roger “Butch” Renner, 80, of Morgantown passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital on Monday, May 14, 2018 with his family by his side. Butch was born in Morgantown on March 31, 1938 to the late John and Ruby Ullery Renner.

Butch was a maintenance supervisor and worked for Consol Energy and also worked for Francis Engineering as an electrician. He was a lifetime member of Granville V.F.D. and also formerly served there as Chief. In his spare time, Butch enjoyed camping, fishing, and gardening. Above all hobbies, he was devoted to the care of his family and enjoyed spoiling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Butch is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Corley Renner; sons: Charles Roger Renner II and his wife Mary Beth of Granville and Craig Alan Renner of Granville; grandchildren: Charles Roger Renner III and his wife Maddie of Granville, Brian Renner and Chelsea Haas of Granville, Emily Renner and Adam Dudas of Granville, and Ryan Renner and Chelsea Rosenberger of Morgantown; one great grandchild, Elizabeth Maisyn Renner, due to arrive in July; sister: Joyce Whitaker and her husband Derek of Augusta, GA; brothers Gary Renner and his wife Barbara of Granville and Donnie Renner and his companion Joyce of Morgantown.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his sisters: Jane Wade and Judy Jones.

Friends are invited to gather in support of the family at McCulla Funeral Home on Thursday, May 17^th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and on Friday, May 18^th from 10 until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Jim Weber officiating.
