Obituary of John Allen Gasti

John Allen Gasti, 54, of Morgantown went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Morgantown on February 9, 1963 to the late Charles Gasti and Shirley Forkin Gasti of Bobtown, PA.

John is a veteran of the United States Air Force and was an Occupational Therapist for over 20 years. In his spare time, John enjoyed fishing, playing with his dog Shadow, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed volunteering at Ronald McDonald Children’s House.

In addition to his mother, John is survived by his wife Sandy Gasti of Morgantown; and his two children: Allison Kennedy and her husband Patrick of Hershey, PA and Nathan Gasti of Long Beach, CA; and his grandson Cooper Kennedy; brother Chuck Gasti and family of Carmichaels, PA, sister Denise Gasti and family of Alameda, Ca, brother James Gasti of Bobtown, PA, sister Michele Yelenik and family of Jessup, MD and a loving extended family.

In addition to his father, John was preceded in death by his brother Michael Gasti.

The family would like to thank Morgantown Health & Rehab and WV Caring Hospice for the love and compassion in caring for John and his family.

Friends are invited to gather in support of the family at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Rd., Morgantown on Friday, January 26 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. A private funeral service will be held at the Bobtown United Methodist Church. Following the service, McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation services.
