Obituary of Doris Smith

Doris Ann Smith, 92, of Morgantown and formerly of Westover, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at her home. Doris was born in Ashland, WV on October 4, 1925, a daughter of the late James and Bertie Hall Sutherland.

Doris was a member of Riverside Apostolic Church and worked as a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will be greatly missed.

Doris is survived by her sons, Timothy K. Smith and wife Shirley of Morgantown, Harry “Rick” Smith and wife Belvia of VA, and Jerry Sutherland whom she raised as her own; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harry Franklin Smith; and several brothers and sisters.
