Obituary of Barbara L. Thornburg

Barbara L. Thornburg, age 78, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Barbara was born in Morgantown on November 11, 1939, a daughter of the late Albert and Olive Davis Krieger.

Barbara was a member of the Sage Bruch Round-Up and the Ladies Auxiliary for the US Post Office. Her greatest love came from being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She was also attended Kingdom EMC.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Lisa Deeley and husband Brian of Morgantown; son, James Kevin Thornburg of Reedsville, WV; sister, Ruth E. Monroe of Bridgeport, WV; and grandchildren, Brandon Deeley, Amber Deeley, Ethan Thornburg, and Kris Thornburg and her special canine companion Daisy.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Elmer James Thornburg; and daughters, Tina Renee Thornburg and Trina Louise Thornburg and her dog Mitzi.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Barbara’s niece, Rhonda Bond for her support and help during Barbara’s time of need.

Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 20^th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and on Thursday, December 21^st from 10 until the 11 am funeral service at McCulla Funeral Home with Rev.
