Obituary of Charles Fletcher

Charles Dean Fletcher age 60 of Core passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born September 15, 1957 in Morgantown a son of Leona Glennis Abe Fletcher of Morgantown and the late William Moser Fletcher.

Charles retired from WV University as a receiving clerk at towers.  Following his retirement he worked as a mechanic for Sam’s Auto and Chippy’s Transmission.  Charles enjoyed working on anything with a motor especially cars and lawnmowers.

In addition to his mother, Charles is survived by his wife, Louise Kaye Goodwin Fletcher, three daughters, Lori Fletcher and spouse Katrina of Morgantown, Mary Swearingen and spouse Derek of Fairmont, and Holly Bright and spouse Ray of Marion, VA, one son and best friend Jeremy Sickles and spouse Crystal of Morgantown, one sister, Debbie Nicholson and husband Virgil of Summers School Road, two brothers, David Fletcher and spouse Crystal of PA, and John Sims and spouse Carrie of Morgantown, five grandchildren, including two who were very special to him, Luke Fletcher and Raeann Sickles and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Charles was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony Fletcher and Glenn Fletcher.

Friends may call at the Nicholson Chapel Church on Summers School Road from 4-7 pm Sunday and on Monday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service with Pastor Matthew Murray officiating.  Burial will follow at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.McCulla.com.
