Obituary of Wanda Marie Jenkins McClure
Wanda Marie Jenkins McClure, 89, of Lazzelle-Union Rd., passed away Friday, October 13, 2017 with her family by her side. Wanda was born in Morgantown on May 14, 1928, the daughter of Walter and Marie Dalton.
Wanda worked in housekeeping at several local hotels and was Methodist by faith. She was a loving mom, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Wanda is survived by her daughters; Donna Thompson and husband Art of Westover and Dianna Jenkins Dezzutti and husband Keith of Morgantown; son, Randall Jenkins and wife Susan of Westover; sisters, Sharlene Sanders and husband Marvin of Morgantown and Mary Catherine Willard of Jane Lew, WV; brother, Francis Dalton and wife Doris of Morgantown; grandchildren, Dawn Buzzo and husband Chip, Arthur Thompson, Jr. and companion Jessica, Brian Dezzutti, Matthew Dezzutti, Makayla Dezzutti and fiancé Louie, Brandy Bennett and husband Jake, Bobbie Jo Jenkins and fiancé Charlie, and Randall “JR” Jenkins and wife Lisa; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Jenkins; second husband, Charles McClure; sisters, Imogene Williams, Marilyn Dawson, Lila Dean Cain, and Evelyn Kisner; and brother, Warden Dalton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Morgantown Amedisys Hospice at 3296 Collins Ferry Road #250 Morgantown, WV 26505 for their loving care and compassion for Wanda. Also, thank you to caregiver, Brenda Todd, for all of her help.
Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Monday, October 16, from 4-7 pm and on Tuesday from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Eldon Mayle officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulla.com
