Obituary of Shirley Ann Cress
Shirley Ann Cress, 82, of Morgantown, went home to be with her Lord with her two daughters by her side on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Morgantown Health and Rehab. She was born January 22, 1935 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Hugh and Anna Boylen Barker.
Shirley possessed an outgoing personality and with it many friends. She absolutely loved and adored her grandchildren and was always buying candy for their visits. She enjoyed listening to country music, playing bingo and also attended the Arch Street Church of God. Shirley was a loving mom, grandma and great grandma who will be deeply missed.
Shirley is survived by two daughters Roxann Nimcheck and her husband Nick of Westover and Kelly Morris and her husband Rob of Morgantown; three sons Gregory C. Cress and his wife Renee of Morgantown, Howard “Buck” Cress and his companion Christy Douglas of Morgantown, and Ricky Cress of Morgantown, grandchildren Catlin Morris, Robbie Morris, Melissa Morris, Megan Ganocy, Gregory C. Cress Jr., Danielle Cress, Sarah White, Frank Nimcheck and Presley Nimcheck; great grandchildren Jackson Ganocy and Maveric Morris; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde “Jack” Cress; her sisters, Lona Bell Barker and Maxine George; and a brother, Wayne Barker.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until the 7:30 pm funeral service. Following the funeral, McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation services. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulla.com.
