Obituary of Clara Huggins
Clara Cecelia Gregg Huggins, 85, of Morgantown, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Clara was born in Morgantown on June 9, 1932 to the late Samuel Gregg and Dorothy Good Gregg.
Clara was a painter at Davis & Lynch Glass Company. She was a Christian who loved the Lord and enjoyed spreading his message and was a long time member of the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle Church. In her spare time she enjoyed painting, canning, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Clara is survived by her daughters: Charla Strakal and her husband Tom of Morgantown and Donna Gill and her husband George of Morgantown; step children Nancy Corbett and her husband Larry of Hagerstown, MD, Judy Bailey and her husband Hunter of Hagerstown, MD, and Paul Thomas Huggins and his wife Phyllis of Dilliner, PA; grandchildren Tommy Joe Strakal, Adam Charles Strakal and his wife Julia, and Marcus Gill; great-grandchildren Olivia Strakal and Nora Strakal; sisters Dorothy Dezzutti, Arlene Neely and her husband Gary, and Connie Nagy and her husband Charles and her brother Richard Gregg and his wife JoAnn; and several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Huggins; step-daughter Sara Korzun; sisters Katherine Christopher, Hazel Fox, Sadie Noone, Rose Nicklin, and Joy Patricia Goodnight; and brothers: George Gregg, John Gregg, and Samuel Gregg.
Friends are invited to gather in support of the family at McCulla Funeral Home on Friday, September 15th from 4-8 pm and on Saturday, September 16th at the Mount Morris Gospel Tabernacle from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with John Lagaza officiating. Following the service, Clara will be laid to rest beside her late husband at Beverly Hills Cemetery. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
