Obituary of Agnes Faye Guiseppe
Agnes Faye Davis, Guiseppe, 96, of Morgantown, went home to be with the Lord on August 21, 2017 at the Morgantown HR. Agnes was born in Winding Gulf, WV on December 11, 1920 to the late Joe Davis and Mary Etta Davenport Davis.
Agnes spent her early years helping her mother raise her eleven siblings. At the age of twenty she went to Secretarial school in Fairmont, WV. Following her schooling at the age of twenty one, she met our father at a weekly social dance. They fell in love and were married on February 18, 1942. On October 13, 1942 they welcomed their first born daughter Shirley Ann. Donna Mae, Mary Frances, and Kenny Jr. “Butchie” followed soon after.
Agnes was a devoted wife and a loving mother. After raising her children, she worked outside of the home at Hecks. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing the piano, but most of all she read her bible and spread the word of God. She was fiercely devoted to her faith and attended the HOPE Church and was actively involved in the Ladies Auxiliary.
Agnes is survived by her daughters: Shirley Ann Smith of Morgantown, Donna Collins and her husband Gary of San Jose, CA, and Fran Post and her husband Eddie of Morgantown; her son Kenneth Guiseppe Jr. and his wife Trudy; grandchildren Sheila Marie Livengood, Michael Christopher Smith, Edward Alan Smith, Christopher James Collins, and Kendra Ann Coombs; great- grandchildren Kenneth “Corey” Guiseppe, Cody Michael Smith, Keeton Michael Coombs, Kobi Coombs; brothers Carl Davis and his wife Phyllis of Charleston, WV and Jerry Davis of Van, WV, and a brothers-in-law John Cusimano, Harold Woods, and Ira Sutphen; and a sisters-in-law Sue Davis and Jean Davis.
