Obituary of Beulah M. Drake

Beulah Marie Drake, age 82, of Morgantown, WV, passed away Sunday, May 28th, 2017 at Mon General Hospital. Beulah was born in Morgantown on July 28, 1934, a daughter of the late Truman H. and Elvina Mae Panrell.  

Beulah was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife and sister.  She was a homemaker who loved her family more than anything in this world, and lived for her children, grandchildren and great grandson.  Beulah was known for her loving, yet feisty sense of humor and her love of God and her family.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Beulah is survived by her daughter, Valerie Lopez; son Steve Drake (Andrea), daughters, Elaine Korzun (Jim Jacobs), and Kim Glass (Rich); sisters, Leona Zachary and Thelma Govedich; grandchildren Marissa Parker (Ed), Sam Lopez (Stacie), Brittany Martin (Derrick), Madeline, Trevor and Lylah Glass, great grandson Samuel Joseph Lopez III and her beloved dog, Princess.  

In addition to her parents, Beulah was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-nine years, Gale Eugene Drake (“Dude”), her brother Joe Panrell, her son in law Sam Lopez, and her grandsons Timothy Allen Korzun Jr. (TJ) and Matthew Scott Korzun.  

Family and friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Monday, May 29, from noon until the funeral service beginning at 2 pm with Pastor Ed Rowan officiating. Following the service, interment will follow at Olive Cemetery. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
