Obituary of James Dennis Harvey

James Dennis Harvey, 75, of Morgantown, WV passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. James was born in Morgantown on November 18, 1941 to the late Merrit Scott Harvey and Katherine Foley Harvey.

James worked for many years for Hope Gas Company, but his passion was farming with his wife, Nancy Harvey.

James is survived by his loving wife, Nancy R. Harvey; daughters Mary Jane Harvey-Kerns and her husband Wayne of Morgantown and Rose Ann Harvey Perroots and her fiancé Shane Haught of Mt. Morris, PA; son Paul Michael Harvey and his wife Karen Taylor-Harvey of Morgantown; grandchildren Micheal Kerns, Katelyn Kerns, Jesse Perroots, and Lila Perroots; and many extended family members, friends, and neighbors.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Merrit Harvey.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Amedisys Hospice and all of their staff for the care and compassion given to Mr. Harvey and his family during their time of need. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Amedisys Hospice at 5006 MidAtlantic Dr. Morgantown, WV 26508.

Friends are invited to gather in support of the family at McCulla Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 16 from 4-7 pm and on Wednesday from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Craig Falkenstine officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
