Obituary of Calvin Wilmoth

Calvin L. Wilmoth, age 78, of Core, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Calvin was born in Core, WV on December 10, 1938, a son of the late Raymond and Martha Yost Wilmoth.
Calvin proudly served his country in the US Army. He later worked at Ford Motor Company until his retirement after 32 years. Calvin enjoyed being outdoors, working and painting on cars, mowing grass, and coaching softball in OH and Westover for several years. He was also a member of Hagans Christian Church.
Calvin is survived by his wife of 20 years, Ella Tackett Wilmoth; daughters, Debi Streibel and husband Dan of Oberlin, OH and Cassandra Lahetta of South Amherst, OH; son, Raymond Wilmoth and wife Clara of Frankford, KY; step-daughters, Rhonda Taylor and husband Brian of Howell, MI and Shelly Hozalski and husband Lawrence of Wellington, OH; step-son, Jeffrey Elliott of New Boston, MI; sisters, Mary Ann Eddy and husband Wayne of Core, Nancy Kay Raspa and husband Frank of Core, and Linda Crites and husband Tom of Rivesville; sister-in-law, Nora Wilmoth of LA; and 13 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth and Donald Wilmoth; and sister-in-law, Mary Jo Wilmoth.
The family would like to thank the staff of WV Caring Hospice, Judy Tucker, Stephanie Cordray, Tina Funk, Brian Hilling and many others in the Hagans Community for their care and compassion shown to Calvin and his family during this difficult time.

Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Monday, March 27, from 3-5 & 7-9 pm and also on Tuesday at Hagans Christian Church from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Isaac Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Hagans Cemetery with full military honors conferred by the Westover VFW Post # 9916 and WVANG, Camp Dawson funeral honors.
