Obituary of Anthony "Tony" Agresti

Anthony J. “Tony” Agresti, age 83 of Westover passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 19, 1933 in Morgantown a son of the late Carmen Agresti and Mary Palumbo Agresti. Tony was a shaft and tunnel operator and retired from Federal No. 2 coal mine where he was an equipment operator. He served with the United States Navy during the Korean War and was stationed on the battleship USS Missouri. Tony was a member of the Westover VFW Post # 9916 and had been a member of the Mountaineer Golf Course. He also enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his friends on Cheat Lake. Tony is survived by his daughter Christy Orinick and husband John of Morgantown, two grandsons, Mark Orinick and wife Nativa of Morgantown and Christopher Orinick of Morgantown. Tony was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Sharen Choma Agresti and one brother, Frank “Gigi” Agresti. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Canine Adoption Center 243 High St. 2nd Floor Morgantown, WV 26505. Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 3-6 pm on Sunday, March 26 and on Monday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery with graveside military honors conferred by the Westover VFW Post # 9916 and the United States Navy Funeral Honors.
