Obituary of Robert Kent Moats

Robert Kent “Bob” Moats, age 75, of Westover, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Bob was born in Greensboro, PA on February 21, 1941, a son of the late Kenneth and Ellen Flynn Moats. Bob worked as an Electronics Technician at the Health Science Center for over 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, watching westerns, making home improvements, and classic cars. He was also a member of Riverside United Methodist Church and former member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Bob is survived by his daughter, Lori Fowler and husband Michael of Morgantown; son, Robert Kent Moats, II and wife Amy Luckeydoo of Chillicothe, OH; sister, Joy Lynne Miller of Garards Fort, PA; and grandchildren, Reece Moats, Hadley Moats, and Alexandria Fowler. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Massek Moats in 2010; and son, Eric Gene Moats. Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Sunday, February 12, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and on Monday from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Jim Weber officiating.
