Michael DeProspero, 58, passed away on January 4, 2017 at the Mon General Hospital ER in Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born October 8, 1958 in Morgantown. Michael is survived by his wife of more than 30 years, Marie Kline DeProspero and many close friends and business colleagues. Michael, a Westover native, was the son of the late Quinto and Phyllis DeProspero. Michael was a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a successful investment manager for over three decades. He ended his career as Chief Investment Officer and Managing Member of Mountain State Analytics, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisory firm he created in 2010. He was highly passionate about his career in business and finance. Michael actively participated and served on the boards of local charities throughout the community, including Stepping Stones, Your Community Foundation, Westover Rotary Club, and The Pines Country Club. Most recently, he served as the Chairman of the Board of the Mon Health System. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Michael’s honor to Stepping Stones, 400 Mylan Park Lane, Morgantown, WV 26501 or the Foundation of Monongalia General Hospital, 1200 J.D.
