Charles Clifton “Chuck” Sell age 75 of Westover passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at his home. Chuck was born November 25, 1941 in Morgantown a son of the late Kenneth L. Sell and Christine Britton Sell.
Chuck had been employed as a journalist and editorial researcher for the Dominion Post and had served with the Army National Guard. Chuck’s most memorable traits were an inquiring mind and a compassionate heart. He enjoyed researching many different topics, always in search of the truth. His other passion was wanting to help others who could not help themselves. Chuck was a member of the Westover United Methodist Church and in his spare time enjoyed hunting, gardening, and do-it yourself projects.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 54 years Beverly S. Delauder Sell, one daughter Tracy L. Sell Chico and her husband Joseph A. Chico, III of Morgantown, one sister, Bonnie Sell of Buckhannon, one granddaughter, Mylana Alysse Chico, one brother-in-law, Richard “Buck” Delauder, and nieces and nephews.
Chuck was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Eugene “Toby” Sell.
Friends may call at the Mcculla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown from 3-7 pm Friday and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service with Pastor Steve Wotring officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
