Ray Forest Lee age 94 of Halleck Road, Morgantown, formerly of Mt. Morris, PA., went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Monongalia General Hospital. He was born May 19, 1922 in Buckhannon a son of the late Ebert Lee and Emma Morrison Lee.
Ray proudly served his country as a United States Army Veteran of World War II and worked as a surface coal miner. Ray had attended Mt. Morris Assembly of God Church and loved traveling around area churches, nursing homes, and radio stations playing gospel music on his guitar with his late wife Pauline. In his spare time Ray also enjoyed farming.
Ray is survived by five daughters, Doris Garrison of Millsboro, DE, Linda Lee of Sierra Vista, AZ, Debbie Eddy and husband Roy of Core, Kathy Bate and husband Tom of Dilliner, PA, and Donna Cooper and husband Clyde of Clarksville, PA, three sons, Estle Lee of French Creek, Larry Lee of Morgantown, and Danny Lee of Morgantown, four sisters, Georgia Kovach (Don) of Litchfield, OH, Maxine Cole of Venice, FL, Kathleen Mealey (Denver) of Amherst, OH, and Lucille Swast of Punta Gorda, FL, three brothers, James Lee (Carole) of French Creek, Doyle Lee (Lydia) of Ohio, and Tommy Lee (Brenda) of French Creek, fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife Eva Pauline Lee, four sisters and one brother.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road on Thursday from 11:00 am until the 2:00 pm funeral service with Pastor David Jessie officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery with graveside military honors conferred by the Westover VFW Post # 9916 and the WVANG Funeral Honors.
