Evelyn Eileen “Lynne” Ammons, age 60 of Bethel Road, Maidsville, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born August 19, 1956 in Weston, WV a daughter of Dorothy Stout Richards of Maidsville and the late James Richards. Evelyn was a homemaker and also worked for Gabriels, Big Lots and lastly K-Mart. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and raising flowers. She was a Methodist by faith. In addition to her mother, Evelyn is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Danny Ammons, one son, Steven Ammons and wife Amanda of Maidsville, four grandchildren, Danny Ammons III, Alana Ammons, Lillian Ammons, and Matthew Smerka, two sisters, Darlene Heater of Salem, WV and Joretta Garrett of Maidsville, and one brother, Kenny Richards of Morgantown. Evelyn was also preceded in death by one son, Danny Joseph Ammons Jr. Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown from 2-6 pm Tuesday and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service with Pastor David Goodin officiating.
