Debra Ann “Debbie” Mapel, age 50, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Debbie was born in Morgantown on May 1, 1966, a daughter of the late Earl and Betty Lou Huffman Mapel. Debbie worked at Pace Tec where she cleaned and worked in the kitchen. She enjoyed doing needlepoint and listening to music, but her favorite time was spent around people. She brought joy to all those she came into contact with. Debbie is survived by her sisters, Karen Triplett and husband Jamie and Janet Martin and husband Raymond, all of Morgantown; brothers, Randy Mapel and wife Joyce of Grafton, and Jeff Mapel and wife Susan of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her sister, Kimberly “Kim” Zybell; and brothers, Keith Mapel and Earl Daniel Mapel. Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Monday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Bill Page officiating.
