Obituary of Joseph Ray Arnold

Joseph “Joe” Ray Arnold, 65, of Morgantown passed away on September 14, 2016. He was born on March 6, 1951, the son of the late Ruth Marie Jones Arnold and Junior Gordon Arnold.
Joe graduated from Morgantown High School and West Virginia University. He also served in the Air Force. Joe worked at Ruby Memorial Hospital and Summit Hall until he retired. He found great joy in reading, watching sports, and walking.
Joe will be remembered for his kind, sweet, and friendly personality; and his eagerness to help anyone who was in need.
Joe is survived by his loving and devoted sister and brother-in-law; Karon and John Chioso; nephew, John Chioso, Jr., niece, Ashley Chioso, all of Westover; brother-in-law Robert Roberts; niece, Jennifer Roberts and companion James O’Hara; niece, Elizabeth “Beth” Roberts and Stephen Terrell; great-nephew, Evan Terrell; nephew, Matthew Roberts and wife Celia; all from Georgia; aunt, Sandra K Lilja, of Maidsville, a son, Troy Matthew Arnold and his wife Ellen; granddaughters, Britni Tallerico and Willow Arnold; and great-grandson, Maverick Kinney; all of Reno, NV; a daughter, Melissa Lynn Arnold Rhoads; granddaughters Emily and Avery Rhoads, of Middletown, DE; two of the most trusting and caring friends, Shawn Soloman and Donnie Petsko; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his sisters; Kathy Arnold Roberts in 2015 and Jeannette Arnold; brother, Bobby Arnold; grandparents, John and Hazel Arnold; and Ray and Evelyn Jones; along with many loving uncles, aunts, and cousins waiting with loving and open arms.
The family wishes to thank everyone involved in the search for Joe, particularly to the Morgantown Police Department and the West Virginia State Police. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support.
