Mary Walls Metheny, 84, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016. She was born June 7, 1932 in Kingwood, daughter of the late Curtis Paul Walls and Virgie Merle Ingersoll. Mary is survived by her daughters, Carla (Michael) Wadesworth, of Columbia; SC, Sandra (Alan) Malone, of Morgantown; and Stacy (Kurt) Ring of Franklin, TN; six grandchildren; and one brother Michael (Bonnie) Walls of Morgantown, WV. In addition to her parents to was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Metheny; step-mother, Elizabeth Walls; and two brothers, James Walls and Edward Walls. Mary donated her body to the Human Gift Registry at West Virginia University. Her family will honor her memory by having a memorial service at Harner Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Lynda Masters officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Heart Association or Harner Chapel United Methodist Church.
