Lila Lee “Scaggs” Beverage, age 90, died in the arms of her Lord and Savior at her home in Morgantown, WV on January 3, 2016. She was a daughter of late Harlan “Doc” and Maggie Scaggs. Lila was a Logan County native where she was a teacher and an accountant. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Earl F. Beverage, with whom she worked for many years in his CPA practice. Lila is survived by her children, Mary Beth Perilli and Twila Metheney (Wes) of Morgantown and Laura Beverage of Denver, Colorado; granddaughters Maggie Metheney (Steve) of South Carolina and Kathie Capuder (Joe), and great grandson, Eli of Morgantown; and many nieces and nephews. Her best canine buddy and companion, Harley, was at her side until the end. Lila leaves to the world her faith in God and this faith will move mountains.
