Ronald Earl Utt, known to friends and family as Ronnie, lived a vibrant and impactful life marked by service, music, and a deep commitment to his loved ones. Born on February 6, 1934, in Morgantown, WV, Ronnie embraced the world with a kindness that resonated with everyone he met. His journey came to a peaceful close on April 16, 2024, in Clarksburg, WV, surrounded by the warmth of his family’s love. Ronnie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before dedicating many years as a skilled machinist at Ford Aerospace. His work ethic was unparalleled, but it was his passion for music and the fine arts that filled his soul and the rooms of those fortunate enough to listen. As the lead in his band, Utt-Most Country, Ronnie shared his gift and joy of music, creating lasting memories for all who heard him play. His spirit will continue to echo in the chords and melodies he cherished. A devout man, Ronnie was among the founding members of the Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church, contributing to the community and touching lives through his unwavering faith. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Nancy Rapp Utt, his devoted daughter Renee, step-sons Dale A. Brewer (Janet) and Patrick W. Brewer, and loving brothers Carroll (Evelyn) and Lawrence Utt. His life was also enriched by his sister-in-laws, Georgie, Karen, and Beatrice. Ronnie’s memory will stand strong in the narratives of his family, forever etched against the backdrop of time. Ronnie now joins his siblings, Navonne (Vonnie) O'Brien (Jim), Alfred Utt, Jr., Floyd Dale Jolliffe, Jesse Jolliffe, and Raymond Jolliffe, and sister-in-law Regina, who preceded him in death. Ronnie’s kind spirit and enduring legacy will be honored during his interment at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown, where a graveside service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 10 am; there, full military honors will be conferred by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the Air Force Military Honors.
