Mark Forrest "Blue" Vannoy, aged 70, of Morgantown, WV, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024, in Fairmont, WV. Born on April 14, 1953, to the late Forrest Benjamin Vannoy and Kathryn Virginia Pauley Vannoy, Blue lived a life full of affection, hard work, and melody. Blue spent his career beneath the Appalachian sky as a dedicated coal miner, a testament to his steadfast resolve and hardworking nature. But it was above ground where his spirit truly shone. A devoted father and grandfather, he is survived by his loving daughter, Autumn Rae Vannoy, fiancé to Clifford John Hamilton, of Core, WV, and his cherished grandchildren, Matthea Kathryn Gonzales and Amaris Marae Gonzales. Blue's legacy continues through them, his love for his family a beacon that will guide them through their lives. Mourning his passing are his community and friends, with whom he shared many a hunting expedition on his farm, countless miles on his motorcycle, and numerous heartfelt songs played on his guitar. Though his beloved son, Damion Mark Vannoy, and his sister, Rebecca Jane Tennant, predeceased him, the memories they created echo in the laughter and stories that will continue to be told. Blue will be forever remembered as the epitome of friendliness, touching the lives of all he met with his warmth and convivial spirit.
