Raymond Martin Jr. age 73 of Brookhaven passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at WVU Medicine. Raymond was born February 12, 1950 in Shinnston a son of the late Raymond Martin Sr. and Verna Estep Martin. Raymond had been employed as a mechanic. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and playing cards, but his greatest love was cooking out and spending time with his family. Raymond is survived by his wife, Janet Marie Mapel Martin; two daughters, Angeline Bartley of Bristol, TN and Latasha Morris (JD Davis) of Morgantown; two sons, Donald Martin of Morgantown and Joseph Martin (Tracy) of Morgantown; two sisters, Nellie Lakatos (Robert) of Morgantown and Emma Muth (Michael) of Wasilla, Alaska; one sister-in-law, Wanda Martin of Morgantown; eleven grandchildren and his fur babies, Lola, Princess, and Chloe. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Martin and sister, Stella Fullmer. Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover from 1-4 pm Sunday and on Monday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service with Pastor Kevin Cain officiating.
