Larry Allen Murray, Sr, age 74, of Morgantown, WV passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesburg, PA. Larry was born October 2, 1948 in Morgantown, WV a son of the late James M. Murray and Virginia Cain Murray. Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and later retired as a Sergeant First Class. Larry loved fishing and hunting, and anything outdoors. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and especially his great-grandchildren. Larry is survived by his wife: Sandra K. Crislip Murray; daughter: Tamra Lee Mullins; sons: Larry Allen Murray, Jr. (Cheryl), and Joseph W. Murray; sister: Shirley Dalton; brothers: James “Skip” Murray, Jerry “Jocko” Murray; grandchildren: Remington Murray (Kendra), Ashley Ritenour (Cecil), Reece Shepard, Ariah Johnson (Logan), Michael “Alex” Murray, and Courtney Pryor; great-grandchildren: Nevaeh Ritenour and Lilly Ritenour all of Morgantown. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by sisters: Bonnie Friend and Sandra Dalton; brothers: Ronnie Murray and Scott Murray; and daughter-in-law: Tina Murray. McCulla Funeral Home has provided cremation service. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 2pm at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV. A memorial dinner will held on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at 3pm at the Mountain Heights Community Building, all family and friends are invited.
