Jim will always be remembered as one of the kindest people I’ve known. He loved his family dearly and it showed in all he said and did for every one of them. Jim always had a very unique sense of humor and never let the opportunity to find something funny to say in nearly all situations. He was a great man and will be missed by all who knew him. Love and prayers to the entire McCulla family.

Jim was one of the most professional and easy people I've worked with thoughout my years in radio.
He was always on top of things, and kept us on our toes, letting us know (in the kindest way) when a project that was due on the air and we needed to provide him traffic or spots updated. He was not just a traffic manager, I've worked with plenty, he facilitated action and made sure no balls were dropped on our end. We respected him greatly.
It was always a pleasure to talk with him, and though we never met him in person, he was pleasant and funny and was someone we shall miss. He was a great asset to the radio station and whomever takes over his position has really big shoes to fill.
We send our sincere condolences to his family, whom he was so proud of, and to his co-workers. who also grieve his loss.

I echo Andrew's list of all the things we'll miss with Jim gone. On the business side, Jimmy was my partner... he was always the guy who had my back. If a new script needed to go into production that aired the next day, he was going to remind me. Usually it was something like... "I want that audio right hell damn now!" It was always delivered with his dry wit front and center. That wit sometimes took the form of Jim stalking a conversation on FB, and when you'd least suspect it, he'd come out with some witty comment. He'd call me when I was on vacation and tell me I needed to come home and produce a RADIO spot for him... again, "right hell damn now!" He was part of the woodwork at WV Radio, and I've always enjoyed working with him. Rest in peace, Jim. I think I just heard him sneeze.

I’ve been thinking about the things that I will miss with the loss of my friend, Jim. Simple experiences, but memories that I will now look back on quite fondly. I will forever miss these things and I know many of our co-workers will feel the same.
I’ll miss him walking past a conference room full of people, stopping at the door, looking disapprovingly at his watch, and continuing on.
I’ll miss hearing classic rock coming from his office on late Friday afternoon - the signal that the logs were done and the week’s work was complete.
I’ll miss the small pad of paper he used as a coffee coaster for years and years… and years. The circles of spilled coffee were almost artwork.
I’ll miss hearing him sneeze… four offices away.
I’ll miss him apologizing for “hogging” the Keurig machine in the morning as he made a double batch of Maxwell House in his oversized mug.
I’ll miss his bemused reaction when I would proudly present a new chachki I discovered at a consignment store that was perfect for his office.
I’ll miss, “Well, okay then,” - a frequent email reply.
I’ll miss sitting in the chair next to his desk and spending a few moments to hear about his family and what they did over the weekend.
I’ll miss emails that start with, “I guess I won’t get the traffic I’m waiting on since the sales people are already out drinking.”
I’ll miss hearing him on Kevin’s speakerphone as he calls out cart numbers - one, forceful digit at a time… “FOUR….SEVEN….EIGHT…THREE.”
I’ll miss seeing him carry his Beatles tote bag to the car at the end of the day.
I’ll miss endless jokes about Christmas Greeters - at all times of the year.
Most of all I will miss those rare, but special times when I could make him laugh out loud. It was like winning the lottery to earn that laugh.
I will miss Jim. And I will miss these moments. But, I’ll cherish these memories always.

Jim was quiet, but had a great sense of humor. His love and devotion to family and friends was apparent. The year that Sharon turned 39, he threw her a party. It was listed on the invitation as Sharon’s 40th birthday, which confused us at first, but it was funny too! He also listed the party to start at 3:00 and end at 3:15. Needless to say, we overstayed our welcome!
Jim will remain in our hearts forever.

Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of James C. "Jim"?
A: Jim always left some witty comment on my Facebook posts (almost always about doing production). I will miss his sense of humor and his kindness towards me. We didn't know each other long, but I not only considered him a co-worker, but also a friend. Fly high with the angels, Jim. You'll be missed. -

Everyone that knew Jim, liked him. He belonged to the “Westover gang.” Became friends with him in 4th grade. Will miss his humor and wit. My condolences to all of the family.
