I've loved you, hated you, forgiven you, hurt you, cried with you, and laughed until I peed with you. I've slept beside you, stayed out late with you, and snuck out of many houses in the middle of the night with you. Held your hand, your hair, and your secrets. I've grieved over plenty of family members with you but never imagined the day I'd be here grieving the loss of you. Had I considered how bad it would suck, I would've tried harder to keep us together when our paths started to separate. I wish we could've been more to each other in our later years but I've learned that wishes don't count when you're dealing with loss. The wishes, what ifs, and regrets make it more difficult to move on in a world without you. The memories are what count. Yes, they hurt at first, but it's nice to eventually look back with a smile and enjoy them. Good, bad, and ugly. We've seen some shit, done some shit, and felt some shit. Although time and life pulled us apart, I'm damn thankful to have known and been one with your beautiful soul for the time we had together. And until we meet again, I'll hold those memories close and smile through the tears. I love you, Catydid

Caitie, you'll forever hold space in my memories. Memories of goofiness, sassiness, uniqueness, and most of all, love. You were a kind soul and like a little sister to me. All those goofy memories we shared when you lived with us many moons ago, will forever bring a smile to my face. The swimming pool in the kitchen, the jamming to music while just taking a drive in the car, us trying to beat Mario on the Super Nintendo, our beach trip to the OBX, and all the long talks about life and everything in it. I'll miss you kid, but I won't forget you. Not ever.

It was truly an honor getting to know and work with Caitlyn over the last several years. She was able to light up any room she walked in with her contagious smile, and vibrant energy she gave off.
